| Unsurprisingly they felt uneasy about all the publicity we had been receiving... before we left the Town Hall, I'd sold them 200 copies. My mailbag was growing on a daily basis with letters from people of all walks of life from all over the World. enthusing over their favourite roundabouts. Stranger still, I was growing equally as enthusiastic, agreeing or disagreeing over the merits of countless roundabouts the length and breadth of Britain. Ever since, my poor wife Linda has had to put up with me pulling the car over whenever an interesting roundabout appears before us. She patiently endures the spectacle of her husband scampering all over the island and giving it a thorough inspection, often making us late for meetings. | |        |
